Leadership is one of those phenomena that are in fashion for a time and then become less so, that is sometimes discussed more on the fringes or obsessively, but that never seems to completely lose its appeal. It is therefore not surprising that countless thoughts, discussions, and writings have been and are being made about „leadership“. On the one hand, there is no shortage of scientific findings or practical advice regarding the „phenomenon of leadership“; and on the other hand, there is no shortage of pedagogical insights and didactic concepts for the education of leaders. Nevertheless, in the present work (again), fundamental questions are posed: What exactly is this „phenomenon of leadership“? And how could an education be designed that would enable people to base themselves on the „phenomenon of leadership“ as a principle and cause? The goal of the present work is to create a paradigmatic concept for „Leadership Education.“ The vehicle for this is abduction, the creative process of theory formation. Such an approach does not explicitly lead to the concept created in this work being better, more correct, or more appropriate than another. This work is therefore not, of course, the conclusion of the discussion about the „phenomenon of leadership.“ Rather, the present work is intended to serve the educational and educational-practical engagement with the „phenomenon of leadership“ as a renewed starting point that is both convincing and desirable.
