»You must rely on innovation and people to successfully shape the future«

Successful companies actively address the challenges of growth and globalization through innovation. Innovation is the creation of value and the utilization of ideas to renew and/or optimize the existing system. This renewal and/or optimization of the existing system is directed at: products and services, production methods and business processes, sales and purchasing markets, and organizational structures.

The world today is increasingly characterized by ongoing structural differences and an increasing and global dynamic. In the face of such a world, continuous innovation appears to be the most successful strategy for sustainably securing and expanding entrepreneurial competitiveness. However, continuous innovation also requires continuous effort: it requires continuously concrete innovative goals that are realized in innovative projects by competent and committed employees and leaders.

The authors of this book offer an insight into innovative projects and best practices that they have implemented within the project competence study programs of the School of International Business and Entrepreneurship (SIBE) of the Steinbeis University of Applied Sciences in various partner companies. The reader thus learns, through concrete projects from entrepreneurial practice, how to successfully address the challenges of growth and globalization through innovation.
