In June, Silvio de Sousa Pinheiro, President of the National Fund for Educational Development in Brazil (FDNE) and Mayra Silva Santos (Consultant for Strategic Management and Governance of FDNE) met with members of SIBE.
On Monday, June 4, they met with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Werner G. Faix (CEO of SIBE) at Steinbeis headquarters in the House of Economics (Stuttgart). Subsequently, the delegation visited the vocational school center Bietigheim-Bissingen.
On the following day, the delegation sought talks with Katrin Schütz, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Housing in Baden-Württemberg.
The Brazilian delegation went on to Berlin on Wednesday and Thursday. There they visited the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and met with government representatives. One of them was Dr. Nils Schmid, member of parliament an SPD.
Their stay ended with a visit to Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH. The aim of the trip was to initiate an exchange of experience between Brazil and Germany in relation to innovation in education so that experiences from Germany can be transferred to Brazil. SIBE already carries out this exchange with regular stays by students from Brazil. The next Brazilian delegation will be visiting Stuttgart and surroundings from July 26th on. In September there will be a delegation from FDNE also visiting Germany.
